Uniting the Global Leading Civic Actions Under One Umbrella
Modern environmental activism dates back to the celebration of the 1st Earth Day on 22nd April 1970 in the United States.'Earth Hour' has from its very humble origins in Sydney (March 2007) now grown into another big global movement which calls for uniting forces to fight Climate Change. Estonia based Let's Do It Movement brought forth the Let's Do It initiative in 2008 which evolved into another massive movement calling people around the world to join a series of local, regional and national cleanups. Let's Do It is the founder of the World Cleanup Up Day and further promotes the #KeepItClean Together campaign. ANPRAS ( African Network for Policy Research & Advocacy for Sustainability) has the privilege to be the Country Team / Focal Point of these major movements in Mauritius; which led to the conception of 'Earth-Mauritius'; a flagship programme which brings along together these global leading environmental civic actions/movements under one umbrella in Mauritius.
